How to Install Java

The SiteSeer Video Player uses Java 1.1, which is included as standard in most modern web browsers, for example:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or later
• Netscape Communicator 4.06 or later (Windows only)
• AOL 5 or later

If you have an earlier browser than this then you will need to upgrade to be able to use the Siteseer Video Player.

If you have one of the above browsers and the Video Player does not start on your machine, then you can enable Java by following the instructions below:

Instructions for Windows

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or later
• Netscape Communicator 4.06 or later
• AOL 5 or later

Note: some copies of Windows XP prior to Service Pack 1 did not include Java. Here are Microsoft's instructions on how to remedy this (Here is a fuller explanation).

Instructions for Macintosh

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or later
• Netscape Communicator 4 for Macintosh does not support Java 1.1.
