FORscene: A Quick Guide.

Use this guide as a quick start tutorial for our free demo account or for your own account.

STEP 1: Computer and connection.

You need to use a computer of 3Ghz and 512MB RAM. Lesser computers will work but performance may be slow. You also need an ADSL (or other 512 kb/s or faster download) connection to the Internet.

Configure Java and Caching

Configure Java's cache, go to: Control panel -> Java plug-in -> Cache. Tick "enable caching" and set the cache size to 200MB. Then click the "apply" button. Now go to the advanced tab and type "-Xmx256M" into the "Java Runtime Parameters" box, then click the "Apply" button.

In Java 1.5, go to Java Control Panel, click the java tab and in the "Java Applet Runtime Settings", click the "view" button. Set the java runtime parameters to "-Xmx256M", click OK, then OK again.

STEP 2: Upload your video content to FORscene.

This is only possible if you open your own account. If you have registered for the demo account there is already some trial footage there for you to use. You can upload footage using FORupload (available on the FORupload page).
